Project Graduation typically takes the form of an all-night themed event at Teamworks, local indoor sports complex, complete with decorations, entertainment, activities, photo-ops, and food!  It is a chance for the senior class to gather with all of their classmates one last time before going their different directions.

Project Graduation is made possible through the efforts of many volunteers who contribute toward the varied needs that have evolved to create a successful evening for our youth.

We begin the process with a volunteer meeting in January.  Committees are organized and staffed.

Fundraising and publicity begin shortly after the initial meeting followed by decorating which gets started early in March.  By April, we are in full swing with food, invitations, gifts and memory lane.

For those senior parents who would like to get involved, the pre-event work is a great opportunity.  We will take as many or as few hours as you can give.

We have volunteers load the decorations on truck to be delivered to Teamworks early graduation morning and the setup committee takes over.  The entire setup is complete by noon on graduation morning.

PRIOR TO GRADUATION

MEMORY LANE

One of the most appreciated parts of Project Graduation is Memory Lane.  Memory Lane has 3 parts.

(1) A "guess who the baby is" where photos of the graduates as young children, and today, are displayed requiring graduates to guess which child is which student.

(2) An area of photos of groups, teams, friends, etc. are posted.

(3) DISPLAYED ON TURF AT WHS: Senior posters created by parents/families for each senior which will be on display for graduation weekend.

Graduation Evening

1:30-3:30 p.m. or 7:00-9:45 p.m. - Great time for parents, family members (*not* graduates) and the community to come see the set up the kids will experience that night. Stop in to take in the scene and look at the baby pictures and group photos on display from when they were young.

10:00 p.m. - Graduates (which is what they will be that evening) may start arriving at Teamworks.  They are welcome to, but not required to, bring a change of clothes (they have been known to work up a decent sweat during the night with all the activities), sleeping bag, pillow (rarely used), and yearbooks.  Anything brought will be kept by the chaperones if not being used.  No alcohol or chemicals of any type (cigarettes, chewing tobacco, caffeine, juuls or vapes) can be brought in to Project Graduation.

11:00 p.m. - Graduates must arrive at Teamworks no later than 11:00 p.m.

Throughout the night food and non-alcoholic beverages will be plentiful.

5:00 a.m. - Graduates will leave Teamworks and our amazing cleanup committee comes in to return Teamworks to normal.
