GET INVOLVED

The success of Project Graduation relies on parent, guardian and community participation. Here are four ways to help what has become a proud Westborough Tradition:

  • Come to the Annual Organizational Meeting, generally in January, date and time to be announced.

  • Volunteer to Work on a Committee.  Parents comprise the bulk of our volunteers on various committees.

  • Make a donation. The average total cost of the event over the past five years has been approximately $17,000. Each year we ask families for a donation of at least $40 to help defray the cost of the event.  Donations made by or on behalf of a graduating senior are tax deductible for the amount above the suggested donation amount of $40. Donations made by all others are fully tax deductible.

  • Thank our community donors. Visit our sponsor page and let our donors know that you appreciate their donations, for without their support, this opportunity for our seniors would not be possible.

VOLUNTEER BEFORE

There are many ways to help out.  We are happy to have as many or as few hours as you are willing to give.  Our committees include:

  • Set Up - Work graduation morning finishing up by noon.

  • Decorating - Designing and constructing sets, planning, setting-up, etc.

  • Fundraising - Sending letters to local businesses and civic groups, and developing new contacts

  • Entertainment - Contacting and contracting entertainers, setting up and planning sports and other activities

  • Memory Lane - Collecting, organizing, and displaying photos, young and old, of the graduates

  • Food - Getting donations of food and drinks from area restaurants and suppliers, and setting up

  • Post Party Clean-Up - at Teamworks Sunday at 5:00 AM done by 8 AM Teamworks

  • Publicity - Responsible for newspaper articles and public relations for the organization and its supporters within the community

  • Invitations / Gifts - Design and production of the invitations; order senior gifts

VOLUNTEER NIGHT OF

We need adults to serve as chaperones during the night.  Senior Parents are not able to volunteer but ANY OTHER adult is able to. Doesn't matter if your child is a high school student. They can be a graduate, younger student or just a community member looking to give back!

This is a great opportunity for parents of Juniors to "pay it forward" as next year's junior parents will volunteer for your student.

There are two shifts: 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM

DONATE

The average total cost of the event over the past five years has been approximately $17,000.

PROJECT GRADUATION relies solely on donations from families and businesses that care equally about the safety of our graduates and the importance of celebrating education.

We will always take monetary donations.  As the event gets closer, we will also be soliciting snacks and drinks.  Please feel free to check back and take a look at our signup genius.

Each year we ask families for a donation of at least $40 to help defray the cost of the event.  Donations made by or on behalf of a graduating senior are tax deductible for the amount above the suggested donation amount of $40. Donations made by all others are fully tax deductible.
